An adjustment to fuel prices has been announced by the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC), and it will take effect midnight September 30.
Accordingly, the price of a litre of Petrol 92 Octane reduced by Rs. 21 to Rs. 311, while a litre of Auto Diesel has reduced by Rs. 24 to Rs. 283.
Super Diesel now is priced at Rs. 319 per litre, reduced by Rs. 33, and Kerosene costs Rs. 19 less per litre, reduced to Rs. 183.
Ceypetco, however, states that the price of Petrol 95 is unchanged.

The following are the new fuel prices:
Petrol 92 Octane – Rs. 311 (reduced by Rs. 21) Auto Diesel – Rs. 283 (reduced by Rs. 24) Super diesel – Rs. 319 (reduced by Rs. 33) Kerosene – Rs. 183 (reduced by Rs. 19) Petrol 95 Octane – Rs. 377 (not revised)
In the meanwhile, Sinopec and the Lanka Indian Oil Corporation (LIOC) have both decided to revise their fuel prices to match those of the state-owned oil company.
