During the second Test at Galle International Stadium in Galle on Saturday, New Zealand was bowled out for 88 while pursuing down Sri Lanka’s 602 run first innings total.
Having taken a commanding 514-run advantage, Sri Lanka is now leading New Zealand by the second-biggest innings deficit in Test history.
This is the team’s fifth-biggest inning deficit overall.
The New Zealand team’s biggest innings deficit in Test history was 570 runs against Pakistan in 2002, when it was knocked out for just 73 runs.
