The announcement published in the Gazette outlining the subjects, functions, roles, and institutions of the newly formed ministries has been published.
President Anura Kumara Dissanayake issued the notice in the Extraordinary Gazette on Friday, September 27,
the Gazette Notification No. 2403/53 – 2024 was released, detailing the division of institutions and responsibilities among the new ministries.
“President issues a gazette detailing the functions and duties of the new Ministries”
This gazette was published by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake in accordance with the authority granted by Article 44(1) of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka’s Constitution.
In addition, the new government has appointed its short-term cabinet.
