The cardboard boxes that will be used as ballot boxes in this year’s presidential election have been dispatched to all returning officers on the island, according to a statement released by the Election Commission.
On September 20, the corresponding returning officers will deliver these ballot boxes to voting places.
The Election Commission has opted to use cardboard boxes in place of the customary wooden ones because of the bigger size of the vote papers. According to the commission, three different sizes of the boxes have been produced.
