Namal Rajapaksa, the presidential candidate for the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP), has declared that their government will carry out a methodical plan to boost the farming community’s economy.
Attending a public rally in the Kalawana area, he said these things.
Rajapaksa made it clear that his policies are not intended to favour specific businessmen but rather to strengthen Sri Lanka’s farmers, fishermen, and entrepreneurs.
“Namal pledges to boost the farming community’s economy.”
“You may recall that the cost of pepper and tea leaves had decreased during the ‘Yahapalana’ administration. The government of Gotabaya arrived and offered a competitive price for pepper and tea leaves once more. That is Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s government,” he declared.
He emphasised that the government of Gotabaya Rajapaksa gave precedence to regional concerns, an approach that their governments have consistently adopted.”The goal is not to strengthen the economy of a re-exporter, or any other businessman, or a farmer in another country,” Rajapaksa went on to say. We would like to remind you that the goal is to support the farmers who have come to this planet and fight against it.
