The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) presidential candidate, Sajith Premadasa, has vowed to hold those accountable for the country’s financial collapse.
Premadasa drew attention to the widespread corruption and fraud in the health industry as well as other fields like renewable energy.

“We moved a motion of no-confidence against the then-minister Keheliya Rambukwella on behalf of the 22 million people of this country when the health sector of our bankrupt nation was riddled with fraud and corruption,” Premadasa said. He attacked the administration of the president-elect, who stood up to defend Rambukwella and had the backing of 113 allies.Premadasa stated unequivocally that any act of bribery, fraud, theft, or corruption would be prosecuted by his government.
