The leader of the opposition, Sajith Premadasa, has promised to reveal the truth about the Easter Sunday terror attacks, living up to the expectations of the people, especially the Catholic community in the nation.
Premadasa said this when he went to the Colombo Archbishop’s home to meet with the Assistant Bishops of the Colombo Archdiocese and His Eminence Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith in order to ask for their blessings.
“Sajith promises to find the cause of the Easter attacks.”
The leader of the SJB and front-runner for president promised that he has a well-defined strategy for finding the truth, one that has already been submitted to Parliament.
He underlined that doubts about the transparency of the Easter attack investigations and the complete disclosure of the truth are shared by the entire country, led by the Catholic community.
Premadasa pledged to Cardinal Ranjith and the Bishops during the meeting that he would stop at nothing to achieve justice.He promised to carry out an impartial program to identify the attack’s underlying causes and make sure that everyone responsible is held accountable and given the harshest penalty possible.
