Recently, MP Akila Ellawala was unanimously chosen to lead the Sectoral Oversight Committee on International Relations in a new capacity.
“As the leader of the Sectoral Oversight Committee on International Relations, Akila takes Namal’s place.”
Premanath C. Dolawatte, MP, suggested the name Akila Ellawala, and Kokila Gunawardena, MP, seconded it.
During the August 8 meeting, this appointment was made in response to MP Namal Rajapaksa’s resignation from the committee.
