As per the most recent data released by the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA), 26,889 tourists visited Sri Lanka during the first four days of August. With 3,922 tourist arrivals in the first four days of August—or 14.6% of total arrivals—Indians have topped the list.

With 3,350 tourist arrivals, or 12.5% of all arrivals from August 1 to August 4, the United Kingdom claimed the second place.There have also been significant reports of arrivals of tourists from China, France, Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands.
Sri Lanka received 1,224,948 visitors between January 1 and August 4, which puts the country halfway towards its 2.3 million visitor goal for the tourism sector this year.
