“Social media reports regarding the SriLankan Airlines flight to Rome are false”
The Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka (CAASL) has issued a statement clarifying that information circulating on social media regarding SriLankan Airlines flight UL 1213 to Rome is false.
According to the official statement, the CAASL emphasized that all such claims are entirely devoid of truth.
The notification explained that SriLankan Airlines flight UL 1213 departed for Rome yesterday (09) to provide direct travel for passengers who had booked tickets to Europe and beyond via the Middle East.
Furthermore, the statement dismissed social media reports claiming the flight was specially arranged to bring a government minister back to the country. The CAASL clarified that these reports are inaccurate, noting that the minister in question had already returned to the island several days ago.
