At the Women in Management UK Professional & Career Women Awards 2024, Lushani Kodituwakku, the founder and managing director of Luminii Consulting, was recently presented with the Women in Business/Entrepreneurship award.
She received the UK’s Chief Executive Officer of the Year award in market research and intelligence in November 2023. She was honoured with the European Private Equity Awards’ Commercial Due Diligence Provider of the Year award in April 2023.

Since its founding in 2017, Luminii Consulting has made a name for itself as a preeminent advisory company, providing projects involving complex strategy, market research, intelligence, and Commercial Due Diligence (CDD). With more than 25 years of experience, Kodituwakku has helped banks, SMEs, big corporations, venture capital, private equity, and large corporations with their strategic, market-entry, and investment needs. Her reputation as one of the top CDD and strategy advisors in the UK has been cemented by her expertise.
As part of his professional journey, Kodituwakku founded Luminii after leading the Grant Thornton Strategy and CDD team since 2008. In her capacity as UK Managing Partner, she also established and oversaw the UK operations for the French strategy provider Neovian Partners. Previously, she held a directorship at PMSI Consulting and made contributions to the KPMG and Frost & Sullivan strategy and market intelligence teams.
Over the course of her career, Kodituwakku has provided support to more than 500 companies in a variety of industries, including technology, media & telecoms, manufacturing, retail, healthcare, real estate, construction, education, energy, and financial services. Her clients have benefited greatly from her strategic and entrepreneurial acumen, as well as her unique skill set, in driving growth and investment strategies.
In addition to her accomplishments in her career, Kodituwakku holds the position of Non-Executive Director on the board of Judges Scientific plc., a prominent AIM-quoted company that specialises in scientific instruments. She has a Master of Research in Management and Organisational Behaviour and a Bachelor of Science in Economics with first-class honours.
The contributions made by Kodituwakku go beyond the business world. She started mindfulness programmes at Grant Thornton and Luminii, as well as a Women’s Wellness group, and has been teaching mindfulness to kids for fifteen years. Her involvement in the community consists of fundraising, mentoring undergrads, and supporting two registered charities.
Her versatility is further demonstrated by her early successes in theatre. At the All Island Shakespeare Competitions in Sri Lanka in 1992 and the All Island Royal Interact Drama Competitions in 1993, Kodituwakku took home the Best Actress award. She starred alongside Ryan Reynolds in a 1993 Canadian film, as well as in a German television series and a Gamini Fonseka-directed Sinhala film. She recently made appearances in Nottingham and London for the stage production of Kelani Palama.
