As a farewell, King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua (Rama X) and Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana of the Kingdom of Thailand granted an audience to Chaminda I. Colonne, Sri Lanka’s ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand and permanent representative to the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and Pacific (UNESCAP) and her spouse Stephen Senanayake.

On June 26, a farewell audience was held at the Amphorn Royal Palace.According to a foreign ministry release, Ambassador Colonne and her spouse had the chance to thank Their Majesties during the farewell audience for the warm hospitality they had received from the Thai people. This is indicative of the excellent and long-standing relations between Sri Lanka and Thailand, which are based on Theravada Buddhism.
