Police have issued a statement announcing a special traffic plan in Colombo city due to rehearsals for the 78th National Independence Day celebrations.

According to the police notice, traffic restrictions will be imposed on the roads surrounding Independence Square during the following times:

January 30 (Today), January 31, and February 2: Traffic will be restricted from 7:45 AM to 1:30 PM during rehearsal sessions.

February 1: Restrictions will be in place from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM.

February 4 (Independence Day): Traffic will be restricted from 5:00 AM until the conclusion of the Independence Day celebrations.

The announcement further states that traffic movement will be limited periodically as required during these timeframes.
