Bangladesh wins against Sri Lanka

At the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, the Sri Lankan team suffered a narrow four-wicket defeat against the Bangladesh team in the opening Super 4 match of the Asia Cup T20 cricket tournament, which was held yesterday (20).

After winning the toss, Bangladesh captain Litton Das invited Sri Lanka to bat first. The Sri Lankan team managed to score 168 runs for the loss of 7 wickets at the end of 20 overs.

The Bangladesh batsmen were able to chase down the target of 169 runs set by the Sri Lankan team with one ball remaining, despite losing 6 wickets.

For Bangladesh, opening batsman Saif Hassan was instrumental in the victory, scoring 61 runs, while middle-order batsman Towhid Hridoy scored 58. Captain Litton Das also strengthened the Bangladesh innings early on, scoring 23 runs.

Wanindu Hasaranga and Dasun Shanaka made a strong effort to turn the match in Sri Lanka’s favor, each taking 2 wickets.

In the match, Dasun Shanaka scored an unbeaten 64 runs off 37 balls, including 6 sixes and 3 fours, while Kusal Mendis scored 34 and Pathum Nissanka scored 22.
