Reports indicate that Iran is preparing to close the Strait of Hormuz oil corridor in response to the attack launched by the United States against Iran yesterday (22).
Foreign media, quoting Iranian state media, report that this decision has received approval from the Iranian Parliament.
Currently, the Strait of Hormuz is the primary route for a large portion of global oil transportation, and many Middle Eastern countries, including Iran, export oil through this Strait of Hormuz.
Foreign media further report that the final decision to implement this resolution by the Iranian Parliament is expected to be made by the Iranian Supreme Council, and that decision is scheduled to be announced by Iranian state news services tonight.
