‘Malani Fonseka, the Queen of Sinhala Cinema, who began her acting career in 1968, concluded her life’s journey last day (24), not just as another artist, but as an actress who displayed extraordinary talent in all areas: stage drama, cinema, and television dramas.

The acting personality she developed is unmatched by any other actress in Sri Lankan cinema, which is why she is recognized as an actress who was ahead of her time.

We pay tribute to the esteemed, veteran actress Malani Senehelatha Fonseka, who nourished Sri Lankan cinema with her acting talent for decades and elevated the Sri Lankan cinematic brand both domestically and internationally.’
