Police lifeguards rescue two foreigners

It is reported that a foreign woman and a man who were swimming in the Mirissa sea were caught in a strong current and being swept away yesterday (20) at noon. They were rescued by officers of the Police Life Saving Unit.

The officers on lifeguard duty at the time acted immediately and, with great effort, rescued them and provided initial first aid. The man who met with the accident is said to be a 31-year-old Bangladeshi national, and the woman is a 20-year-old Swiss national.

The rescue of the lives of this foreign woman and man was carried out by Police Constable 104435 Sarathchandra and Police Constable 105268 Sisira, who are attached to the Mirissa Police Life Saving Unit.
