After a two-day conclave, America’s Robert Prevost was elected as the new Pope yesterday (08) afternoon Vatican time.
Accordingly, he is 69 years old and has been named Pope Leo XIV, and is also the 267th Pope of the world.
Furthermore, he has made history by being the first Pope elected from America.

Consequently, Pope Leo XIV will lead the global Catholic community of 1.4 billion.
Born in Chicago, he is certainly considered to possess many of the qualities needed for that role, and he is regarded not only as an American but also as the head of the Pontifical Commission for Latin America.
