Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe appeared before the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption this morning (28).  

Wickremesinghe came before the Commission to give a statement regarding an allegation of corruption said to have occurred during the time when current Member of Parliament Chamara Sampath Dasanayake, who is currently in remand prison, was the Chief Minister of the Uva Provincial Council.  

It is mentioned that former President Ranil Wickremesinghe was informed to appear before the Bribery Commission on the 17th regarding the incident, but after informing that he was unable to attend on that day, he was informed to appear today (28).
