The Diyawadana Nilame further commented, “Devotees have had the good fortune to pay homage in greater numbers than we planned. Due to the devotees arriving from various parts of the island to venerate the Sacred Tooth Relic, the entire Kandy area has become incredibly crowded. This has led to a reduction in the available space for veneration. We have also had to face difficulties in providing facilities environmentally and hygienically. Due to these reasons, for the convenience of the public, it has been decided to hold this pilgrimage only until April 27th, as originally scheduled.”

Accordingly, devotees will have the opportunity to pay homage to the Tooth Relic today from 11:00 AM to 5:30 PM.”
