Reports indicate that an American national has been arrested at Bandaranaike International Airport with 23 kilograms of Kush narcotics. He was apprehended yesterday (15) by officials of the Airport Customs Narcotics Control Division while attempting to illegally bring these narcotics into Sri Lanka.

Customs sources state that the estimated value of the seized Kush narcotics is approximately 230 million Sri Lankan Rupees.

The arrested individual is reported to be a 31-year-old American national employed by a land trading company in the United States.
