The Dubai branch of the “Ethere Api” organization, appreciating the National People’s Power (NPP) government’s commitment to a productive economy, recently donated safety clothing and shoes to employees of the Lakdiya Engineering Company, which belongs to the Ministry of Transport, Highways, Ports, and Civil Aviation.
The Deputy Minister of Transport and Highways, Prasanna Kumara Gunasekara, the Chairman of Lakdiya Engineering, Jeewaka Prasanna Purasinghe, and several officials from the ministry participated in this event
“NPP government appreciated, donation from the ‘Ethere Api’ organization”
Lakdiya Engineering was an institution that the previous governments had prepared to liquidate. However, under the new government’s vision, it has become a remarkable organization, having refurbished and put back into operation nearly 70 buses that were in severe disrepair and had been removed from service.
Speaking with satisfaction about this progress, the Deputy Minister stated that the progress achieved by this institution within four months is highly commendable.
He also affirmed that institutions like the CTB (Sri Lanka Transport Board) will also be brought to this level, and although it is a large organization and will take time, the government’s direction remains the same.
