In order to increase tourism, Sri Lanka intends to host water festivals and bring in international performers, according to the tourism promotion bureau. “We will be hosting a few international artists in September to December”. We would also be hosting a fashion show in Sigiriya.
“The government will host international performers and a fashion show in Sigiriya to boost tourism in Sri Lanka.”
According to the tourist board, Sri Lanka plans to welcome 2.3 million tourists by 2024, with potential growth to 2.5 million.
Sri Lanka also intends to hold a water festival in coastal cities of Trincomalee, Arugambay, and Kalpitiya to highlight the country’s ability in water sports.
