Under the patronage of Speaker Dr. Jagath Wickramaratne, the Sri Lankan Parliament is scheduled to convene for the first time this year at 9:30 a.m. today (07).

As a result, questions and oral answers have been allocated for today from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

The Secretary-General of the Parliament then announced that the government’s Adjournment Debate on the “Mid-Year Fiscal Position Report – 2024” has been scheduled from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Sessions of parliament are scheduled to go on all week until Friday (10).
Debates on a number of regulations, including rules under the Imports and Exports (Control) Act, are scheduled for tomorrow.
