“Parliament convenes for the first session in 2025”
Under the patronage of Speaker Dr. Jagath Wickramaratne, the Sri Lankan Parliament is scheduled to convene for the first time this year at 9:30 a.m. today (07).
As a result, questions and oral answers have been allocated for today from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
The Secretary-General of the Parliament then announced that the government’s Adjournment Debate on the “Mid-Year Fiscal Position Report – 2024” has been scheduled from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Sessions of parliament are scheduled to go on all week until Friday (10). Debates on a number of regulations, including rules under the Imports and Exports (Control) Act, are scheduled for tomorrow.
