Sri Lanka’s Ministry of Health’s Epidemiology Unit announced that it is keeping a close monitor on the situation regarding a virus that is reportedly spreading in China.
“A new virus outbreak in China has Sri Lanka on high alert”
In a statement released yesterday (03), the unit confirmed receiving information regarding the virus and emphasized that more information will be made public following a comprehensive investigation and analysis of the situation.
Five years after the Covid-19 pandemic, there is reportedly a human metapneumovirus (HMPV) epidemic in China.
