Minister Bimal Rathnayake emphasizes as work commences for the year 2025
“This ministry has many educated young officers, both male and female. This is your country. Therefore, take this country into your hands. Implement the proposals and plans that are available. We will provide our full support for that. Do the right thing. We will protect you. If mistakes happen, that’s fine, but there is no excuse for deliberate wrongdoing. The doors will be open for those individuals to leave.
“Our words, our writing and our actions should all be one and the same”
The main weakness in institutions is the lack of coordination and proper communication. One hand doesn’t know what the other is doing. We don’t investigate how the decisions we take move forward to the next level. Due to these coordination shortcomings, many good things are missed. Our words, our writing, and our actions must all be in alignment,” said Minister of Transport, Highways, Ports, and Civil Aviation Bimal Rathnayake.
The minister expressed these views during a brief ceremony held to mark the commencement of the New Year’s duties in the transport sector under the Ministry of Transport, Highways, Ports and Civil Aviation.Deputy Minister of Transport, Highways, Ports and Civil Aviation Dr. Prasanna Kumara Gunasena, Ministry Secretary Professor Kapila C. Perera, and other senior officials and employees of the ministry participated in this occasion.
