Given the interconnectedness of foreign affairs and tourism, Sri Lanka has combined the two subjects under one ministry for the first time, according to Vijitha Herath, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment, and Tourism.

The minister made this statement while participating in the International Bazaar and Cultural Extravaganza 2024, which was held in Colombo last Saturday (07) and organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment, and Tourism in association with the Sri Lanka Foreign Service Association and Good Market Sri Lanka.

Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment, and Tourism Vijitha Herath graced the event.
