Former Minister Lohan Ratwatte and his wife Shashi Prabha were placed on extended remand till December 6th by the Nugegoda Magistrate’s Court yesterday.
The Nugegoda Magistrate’s Court had earlier placed Ratwatte and Prabha on remanded until yesterday after they were arrested over using a luxury car that had been illegally imported and assembled in Sri Lanka.

When police conducted an inspection after receiving information from Police Headquarters about a luxury car without number plates at Shashi Prabha’s three-story house in Embuldeniya, Mirihana, they discovered the aforementioned car.
Ratwatte’s private secretary, who was recently discovered dead from gunshot wounds at Katugastota in Kandy, brought the car several weeks before, according to Ratwatte and his wife, who made this claim during the investigation.
