Minister Vijitha Herath investigated the complaints about Sri Lankan flight delays at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Colombo.
The minister visited various sections of the airport during the visit and had friendly discussions with staff members.

Minister Vijitha Herath emphasized the need of setting up a special unit on the premises of the airport that represents SriLankan Airlines and the airport in order to provide passengers immediate updates on flight delays, operate around 24 hours, and provide the most facilities possible to passengers during delays.
Additionally, it states that the appropriate authorities have been instructed to take action to minimise these delays.
