According to a press release from the organisers, plans are underway to hold the annual Katina Cheevara Dana Ceremony at the Mulagandha Kuti Vihara Maha Bodhi Society of India, Holy Isipathana Deer-Park, Sarnath, on November 13 and 14.

Annual Katina Cheevara Dana Ceremony to be held next month

For the “Sacred Relics of the Buddha” that are housed within, the Mulagandha Kuti Vihara in Sarnath, Varanasi is renowned worldwide. at the first half of the 19th century, archaeologists discovered these relics of the “Blessed One” at the Dhammarajika Stupas at Chir Tope, Taxila (Undivided India), and Bhattiprolu hamlet in Guntur District, Andhra Pradesh (South India).

Once a year, during the Vihara’s Anniversary Ceremony on Kartika Purnima (Full Moon Day in November), the Sacred Relics are on exhibit for three days.
