In anticipation of the upcoming General Election, measures have been made to cancel the leave of all Postal Department employees.
With effect from today (23) until November 14, all leave for Postal Department employees has been cancelled, according to Deputy Postmaster General Rajitha Ranasinghe.
“Leave for postal workers suspended until the end of the general election”
He did, however, clarify that any postal employee who needs time off for critical reasons needs to get permission from the province’s deputy postmaster general.
Additionally, Ranasinghe mentioned that today is the day that registered postal vote reserve packets for the general election will be accepted.
