During the ongoing UAE amnesty program- 2024, which began on September 1 and will run through October 31, 2024, the Consulate General of Sri Lanka to Dubai and Northern Emirates says it has been actively supporting the Sri Lankan community in the UAE.

The program gives people an opportunity to return to Sri Lanka or regularize their visa status without facing penalties.

In order to allow enough time to process the request for a United Arab Emirates (UAE) out pass and return to Sri Lanka, the Consulate General encourages all Sri Lankans who do not have a valid passport or who have misplaced their passport to apply for a Temporary Travel Document (TTD) by October 25, 2024, at the latest.
