It has been announced by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake that the 2025 Budget proposal will be presented in February or March.

He stated that the state sector’s salary increases, schoolchildren’s allowances, and the impoverished and disabled communities’ allowances would be the main priorities of the proposed budget.
Additionally, President Dissanayake stated that a Vote on Account will be presented by the new government in December of this year.
