The Meteorological Department says that the Northern Province may see a few showers or thundershowers.
There could be several spells of light showers in the districts of Nuwara-Eliya, Galle, Matara, Kandy, and Sabaragamuwa in the Western and North-Western provinces.
“Weather forecast – There will be several spells of light showers in some parts of the island”
It said that throughout the evening or night, showers or thundershowers may occur in a few places in the provinces of Uva and the Eastern region.
Thus, during thundershowers, the general public is kindly asked to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by transient, localized strong winds and lightning.
