Last afternoon, a female student from an international school in Colombo died after falling from the Lotus Tower observation deck.
The female student, who was wearing ordinary clothing, reportedly jumped from the tower’s 29th floor, where the observation deck is situated, according to some eyewitnesses who spoke with police.

The age of the deceased was eighteen. According to the police, investigations are being conducted to ascertain the incident’s circumstances.
The student’s body was found near the tower, said to the Lotus Tower Management Company, which confirmed the death. The company said the victim’s identity was pending confirmation and that the Police had launched investigations to determine whether the student jumped or fell off the building.
