The Colombo High Court yesterday extended its order to suspend the 97 million rupee insurance policies and fixed deposits that belonged to Keheliya Rambukwella, the former health minister, and five of his close relatives.

Taking into consideration a request by the Bribery Commission, the Colombo High Court extended the order.

Accounts and insurance policies of Keheliya have now been suspended

The policies and accounts are currently suspended till January 4; 2025.The Colombo High Court suspended the insurance policies and fixed deposits on July 5, 2024, for a period of three months. As of Friday, the three months were ended.
