According to the President’s Media Division, the vehicles that were brought to the Presidential Secretariat from various government institutions such as Ministries and Departments were returned to their respective agencies yesterday (01) at the parking area near the secretariat.
Nineteen vehicles were released yesterday, of which about fifteen were picked up by appropriately notified personnel from the authorities in question, said to the statement.
“The Presidential Secretariat gives approval to return 19 vehicles to government institutions.”
As of yesterday fifteen vehicles, eight from the Road Development Authority (RDA), three from the Ministry of Finance, and one from each of the Southern Provincial Council, the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation, and the Department of Wildlife Conservation—were returned to their respective institutions.
The PMD said additional secretary Mahesh Hewawitharana, senior additional secretary Roshan Gamage, and other officials attended the event.
