“Kuwait Airways resumes flights to Colombo”
Kuwait Airways issued a press release stating that it has decided to resume its flight operations from the 15th of this month, which had been temporarily suspended due to the conflict situation in the Middle East.
The airline noted that it was forced to temporarily halt operations on February 28, 2026, due to the Middle Eastern conflict. Although a decision was initially made to resume flights on March 02, 2026, operations did not commence at that time due to the prevailing insecure conditions. However, under those circumstances, a special flight carrying 241 passengers arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo from Kuwait on March 31, 2026.
Considering the current situation, Kuwait Airways has now officially decided to resume its flight operations to Colombo starting from April 15, 2026. The airline further stated that this move will provide an opportunity to meet travel needs while strengthening the air connectivity between Sri Lanka and the State of Kuwait.
The press release issued by Kuwait Airways, including the latest flight schedule, is provided below.
