Commissioner General of Essential Services, Prabath Chandrakeerthi, has stated that a decision has been taken to cancel the Wednesday public holiday, effective from this week.

Chandrakeerthi mentioned that this new decision will come into effect from this coming Wednesday, the 8th, and added that the relevant circular is due to be issued in the near future.
