The Department of Meteorology has issued an advisory stating that an “Extreme Heat” weather condition, felt by the human body, is expected today (31) in parts of the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, Eastern, North-Western, Northern, and North-Central provinces, as well as the Monaragala district.

This was stated in a notice released yesterday (30) at 3:30 p.m. by the Natural Hazards Early Warning Centre of the Department of Meteorology. The announcement further clarified that this condition is not related to upper atmospheric changesday
