“Four Sri Lankans injured while attempting to film missile attacks on Israel”
Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to Israel, Nimal Bandara, announced that four Sri Lankans were injured and hospitalized following a missile attack on the Dimona area last night.
According to the statement, the individuals had failed to seek shelter in protected areas during the attack. Instead, they remained in an open area to video the incident, which has since been circulating on social media.
The Ambassador confirmed that the four Sri Lankans sustained injuries to their heads and other parts of their bodies due to shattered glass falling from buildings impacted by the strikes.
Condemning these actions as “reckless,” Bandara emphasized that such behavior is a direct violation of the safety instructions issued by Israeli security forces. He issued an urgent appeal to the Sri Lankan community in Israel to immediately seek shelter in safe zones as soon as the warning sirens are heard, which typically provide a three-minute window before a potential impact.
