Deputy Minister of Industries and Entrepreneurship Development, Chathuranga Abeysinghe, stated today (16) that a QR system for fuel would not be necessary if the public consumes fuel sparingly amidst the ongoing crisis.

Addressing a public gathering, the Deputy Minister further emphasized that this energy challenge is not unique to Sri Lanka but is a global issue affecting countries worldwide.

He urged the public to reduce their energy consumption as much as possible, making a formal appeal to the citizens to practice stringent energy conservation during this period.
