Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs, Dr. Hiniduma Sunil Senevi, announced today (16) that both parties have reached an agreement to publish a unified list of New Year auspicious times (Nekath Seettuwa).

Speaking at a special media briefing, the Minister stated that this final agreement was reached following discussions held with Indika Epa Seneviratne (Author of the Epa Panchanga Almanac), Chamath Kothalawala (Author of the Thirasara Panchanga Almanac), and members of the alternative astrology group.

Minister Sunil Senevi further noted that the finalized auspicious times sheet will be printed tomorrow (17) and distributed to the public as the Official National New Year Almanac.
