“Immigration and Emigration Department data system restored after glitch”
Mahesh Karunadasa, Deputy Controller and Media Spokesperson of the Department of Immigration and Emigration, informed the Serenbona Media Network that the sudden technical glitch in the department’s computer data system yesterday (12) has now been fully resolved.
He further stated that the department’s operations, which were temporarily suspended due to this issue, have resumed. Accordingly, passport issuance services have returned to normal, and the processing of general passports, one-day service passports, and visas is currently proceeding as usual.
