England beat Sri Lanka in the first T20 match played at Pallekele yesterday. Sri Lanka scored 133 for the allotted 17 overs which were reduced due to rain. England in reply scored 125 in their allocated 15 overs to win the match in the DLS method.

 Sam Curran and Rashid took 3 wickets each which included a hat trick for Sam Curran. The next T20 will be held on Sunday.
