The Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) reports that 223,645 tourists arrived in Sri Lanka within the first 25 days of 2026.

According to the authority, the highest number of arrivals in a single day was recorded on January 15, with 10,483 tourists entering the country. During this 25-day period, India emerged as the top source market with 41,603 arrivals.

Additionally, the SLTDA noted significant arrivals from the following countries: United Kingdom: 23,329 ,Russia: 22,876 and Germany: 14,431
