The Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) has taken steps to grant two additional days for the registration of qualified workers for jobs in the general renovation sub-sector under the construction field in the State of Israel.

Workers can register via the Bureau’s website from the 3rd until the 7th at 9:00 AM for the following jobs: General Renovation Work, Ceramic Tiling Work, and Plastering Work.

Men between the ages of 25 and 45 can apply for this, and they must have good experience relevant to the job category they are applying for.

Registration for 3 job categories in the Israeli construction sector reopens

Applicants must not have previously worked in Israel, and none of their relatives should be working or be permanent residents in Israel. They must also possess a valid passport for all countries with a remaining period of validity of more than 3 years.

Furthermore, only individuals in good physical and mental condition suitable for working under the prevailing climatic and weather conditions in Israel can apply. They must be free from chronic or social diseases and possess a clean police clearance report without any charges. Applicants must have completed 10 years of schooling and possess a basic knowledge of English.

Also, individuals who have previously sat for the final skills test for the above job categories and failed are not eligible to apply.

Qualified workers who secure a job will receive a contract period of 63 months, a monthly salary of $1,520 (US Dollars), and additional overtime allowances.

The Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) has introduced a special web portal on the website www.slbfe.lk for jobs in the general renovation sub-sector of the construction field in Israel. The SLBFE informs job seekers to refrain from paying money to any person for registration for these jobs, or for matters like interviews, skills tests, and selection through a lottery system.
