The three-judge Colombo High Court panel today (16) ordered the release on bail of former minister Keheliya Rambukwella and other defendants. They are accused of misappropriating government funds in connection with the purchase of substandard antibody vaccines.

Each defendant was ordered to be released on a cash bail of Rs. 500,000 and two personal sureties of Rs. 5 million each. The court also banned the foreign travel of the defendants and ordered them to surrender their passports to the court.
