On Saturday, October 6, a delegation led by the Minister of Buddha Sasana, Religious, and Cultural Affairs, Dr. Hiniduma Sunil Senewi, visited the Ranminithenna Tele Cinema Village in Hambantota.

Minister on an observation tour of Ranminithenna Tele Cinema Village

The purpose of the visit was to assess the steps needed to transform the Ranminithenna Tele Cinema Village into a profitable institution that can provide significant services to artists in the tele-cinema industry.

During the tour, several proposals for the systematic development of the park were discussed. The Minister paid close attention to key areas such as improving building and set designs, popularizing the park through a strategic promotion plan, and turning it into a destination for both local and foreign tourists.

The observation tour was also attended by Hambantota District Member of Parliament, Athula Welagoda; the Acting Director-General of Ranminithenna Tele Cinema Village; Sujeewa Hemantha, Planning Director (National Heritage Division) of the Ministry of Buddha Sasana, Religious, and Cultural Affairs; and Ruwan Premavira, the Minister’s Public Relations Officer.
