A police statement announced that traffic has been disrupted on the road entering Colombo from the Model Farm Junction to the D.S. Senanayake Junction due to a road collapse at a certain point.

According to this announcement, police are advising drivers using the road entering Colombo to use alternative routes as much as possible.

Accordingly, the police stated that as alternative routes:

Vehicles entering Colombo via the Model Farm Junction can proceed towards the Kanatta roundabout and enter Baseline Road.

Vehicles entering Colombo from Rajagiriya can enter Colombo via Kota Road from the Ayurveda roundabout.

Vehicles traveling from Colombo towards the Sri Jayawardenepura road via the Model Farm Junction can turn left at the D.S. Senanayake Junction and enter the Sri Jayawardenepura road via the Borella Junction and Kota Road.
